God has given New World Ministries the VISION to make the nations His Kingdom. We serve to bring His light into the dark places in cities, towns and villages through:
CHURCH PLANTING
Church planting includes indigenous House Churches and conventional Churches. Each church is taught to reach out to surrounding areas through prayer meetings and Bible studies in the local dialect.
NWM presently has Centers in:
Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
The prolonged war from 1998 to 2003 has had a devastating effect on the economic, spiritual and moral life of the country. Killing, looting and raping is still going on, and there is a great hunger for the Word of God. Despite the unsettled background, a number of indigenous pastors have been trained, one of whom has been transferred, and are serving locally and internationally.
Gboko, Gbinde, Igede, Makurdi, Nigeria.
These tribes are being convicted of their former pagan life styles, renouncing idol worship by surrendering their charms, amulets, etc to be destroyed by the church. Miraculous healing of the sick is attracting others. House churches, bible study centers are growing. The Word is being taught and preached and with the manifestation of God's Spirit and power, it is growing mightily and prevailing, 29 baptisms recorded so far.
Atlanta Georgia, USA.
In one of the world’s most ethnically diverse nations, NWM is encouraging Christians to return from a different kind of idol worship and religious spirit to Biblical standards. New World Christian Church in Atlanta organizes House Church meetings and seminars in and out of Georgia State. God’s Word is also spread through literature, including the NWM Pocket Book Series which is available in several titles.
BEACON SCHOOL OF MINISTRIES
To boost church planting and strengthen existing churches, NWM through her Beacon Schools of Ministries, trains church workers in leadership and missions. These Schools have been run in both Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo over the last few years. The Schools assist in training the products of the planted churches, and workers from many other churches.
POTTER’S HOUSE
NWM also protects children from abuse and provides physical and spiritual care through her Potter’s House. The Ministry continues to assist the needs of neglected children who are the future generation church, including those already supported in the Orphanage in Benue State, Nigeria.
“If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.”
We would like you to join us in the fight against Child labor, abuse and neglect. There are millions of kids all over the world that are abused and neglected and work much harder than their fragile young bodies and minds can bear. They are made to rise up early and work till late. Awareness has to be created, poverty alleviated and counseling given to both the kids and their carers to ensure that this present day slavery, neglect and child labor is stopped.
Help can be rendered in various ways, such as:
(A) COUNSELING
Counseling for the children; so many of these poor kids need an ear to listen to them. They have dreams and aspirations. They deserve to be heard, encouraged and inspired. They have been on the ‘instruction receiving’ end too long. Let us help them before they get shut down for ever.
(B)SCHOOLING
For the handful that are able to go to school, multiple hurdles stand in their ways. A lot of them have to go to work to earn enough money to buy a uniform, plus books, pencils and shoes. While they continue to labor time flies by. When they are finally ready for school, they are so physically used up and mentally drained that they are not able to do well in class. They end up ‘dropping out’ of school and the cycle of illiteracy continues from one generation to the next.
(3) VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Many of these kids are vast fields of untapped resources and talents. Those who may not be able to go through the conventional schools can be trained to be carpenters, mechanics, painters, farmers, IT technicians, fashion designers, photographers, drivers, builders, musicians etc.
We need help to organize vocational training and provide opportunities for apprenticeship so these kids can be empowered for self reliance and a brighter tomorrow.
Would you like to know how you can help?
We need Nurses, Teachers, Doctors, Evangelists, Trainers, Sponsors, Dentists, Engineers, IT people, Agriculturists etc. If you love kids and you want God to use you and your skills to help them, come join us. We also need Books, Pencils, Uniforms. Whatever your skills and talents are, there is room for you.
